Bouwma Tied for Third After Round One in Lake City
LAKE CITY, FLA. (Women's Golf) – The Lake-Sumter State College (LSSC) women's golf team finished round one of the Florida Gateway Timberwolves Spring Invitational. Wies Bowma led the team, finishing the first round at 79 (+8) and tied for third place individually, positioning herself among the tournament's early leaders.
Bouwma will enter round two trailing Florida Gateway's Karlee Gainey by five strokes and Kylee Lynn from Southern Union State Community College by just three strokes.
Annabelle Roy finished round one tied for 29th at 95 (+24). Johanna Hanneken posted a 110 (+39) round one score.
Bouwma, Roy, and Hanneken all recorded personal best scores in round one. The Lakehawks look to carry this momentum into round two on Tuesday morning.
The Lakehawks will go off of hole 1 on Tuesday morning for round two. Tee times and pairings for tomorrow are listed below:
8:30 a.m. – Hanneken, Anna Reese Colville (Toccoa Falls College), Kenley Staats (Calhoun CC)
8:40 a.m. – Roy, Shelby Barela (Toccoa Falls College), Emma Thomas (Calhoun CC)
8:50 a.m. – Bouwma, Kelsey Mason (Shelton State CC), Anna Lowry (Calhoun CC)
