Lakehawk Softball’s Lee Named FCSAA Player of the Week
TALLAHASSEE, Fla. (Softball) – The Florida College System Activities Association (FCSAA) announced the weekly awards for on Tuesday morning for the week of Feb. 2-8. Freshman Emmy Lee was named the FCSAA DII Softball Player of the Week, her second honor of the season.
In four games last week, Lee batted .571 with one double, one triple, and a grand slam. She recorded nine RBIs and scored five times.
Lee helped the Lakehawks to their first win against Seminole State in over 10 seasons after blasting a grand slam in game one of the double header for the lead. In two games against Seminole State, she went 4-for-8 with six RBIs and four runs scored.
Later in the week against Polk State, Lee went 4-for-4 with three RBIs in game one of the double header.
For the season, she leads the team with a .571 batting average, .600 on base percentage, and a 1.000 slugging percentage. In just 12 games played so far this season, she has 20 hits with 16 RBIs, four walks and two homeruns.
Lee and the Lakehawks take the week to prepare for a pair of double headers against Gordon State College on Friday and Saturday. Games are set for 11:00 a.m. and 1:00 p.m. both days.
