Schlichenmaier Finishes +44 at 2026 NJCAA Championship

PLYMOUTH, Ind. (Men's Golf) – Kasen Schlichenmaier wrapped up his time at the 2026 National Junior College Athletics Association (NJCAA) Division II Men's Golf Championship on Friday afternoon. The four day tournament hosted by Swan Lake Resort displayed a variation elemental challenges putting golfers to the test for the final competition of the season.
Round 1 Results
After round one of competition, Schlichenmaier is tied with five other golfers in 105th with a +8 score. He shot two birdies in the back nine to gain some ground in standing.
On Wednesday, Kasen will hit the course at 1:45 p.m. from hole one. He will be paired up with Kollin Kelsey (Vincennes University) and Jack Higgins (St. Clair County Community College).
Kelsey is currently tied for fifth after shooting three under and Higgins shot +7 and ties for 97th.
Round 2 Results
Schlichenmaier shot 15-over in round two. He currently ranks 116th in tournament standings with a +23.
For round three, Schlichenmaier has an early 7:45 a.m. tee time. He remains paired with St. Clair Connty's Jack Higgins and Matthew Haggart (Madison College).
Higgins is tied for 100th with a +17 and Haggart ranks 106th with a +19.
Round 3 Results
Schlichenmaier moved up three spots after shooting +8 in round three at Swan Lake. He is now in 112th with just the final round left to play on Friday.
Schlichenmaier tees off for the final round at 7:45 a.m. He will remain paired with St. Clair County's Higgins and Madison College's Haggart.
Round 4 Results
Schlichenmaier's tournament came to an end on Friday afternoon. For the day, he shot on 84 (+12) and ended +44 for the championship.
In final standings, he finishes 111th, moving up four spots from his day one finish.
Schlichenmaier's time as a Lakehawk comes to an end in Indiana. He is actively looking for a four year home to continue playing college golf.
