Lakehawk Golf Takes Ninth at Enterprise State Spring Series
ENTERPRISE, Ala. (Men's Golf) – The Lake-Sumter State College men's golf team closed out the Enterprise State Spring Series hosted at The Bridges at Tartan Pines Golf Course with a determined ninth place finish, overcoming both a short-handed lineup and an early setback.
Following a weather-impacted opening day putting the team in 10th place overall standing, the Lakehawks responded with a composed effort in Tuesday's final round.
Tripp Watkins finished in 19th on the individual leaderboard with a +21 three-round score, 81-76-80 for the tournament.
Kasen Schlichenmaier and Nate Williams placed 47th and 49th respectively. Schlichenmaier posted a +33 while Williams followed at +34.
Kylan Johnson placed 60th individually and recorded a team-high seven birdies in three rounds.
The Lakehawks will prepare for a back-to-back competition week, turning their focus to the Cleveland State Invitational in Cohutta, Ga. next weekend.
