LAKE WORTH, Fla. (Baseball) – Lake-Sumter State College (LSSC) Baseball swept Palm Beach State College (PBSC) in this weekend's Sun-Lakes Conference series.
For the series, Brady Byers went 6-for-10, with two hits in each game. Robert Kohler also had six hits with an RBI and three runs scored.
Jack Johnson tossed a complete game in game one improving to 4-3 on the mound for the season. He allowed one run, unearned, on six hits with three strikeouts.
Sophomore Ethon Tesmer was awarded the win on the mound in game two with 3.0 innings pitched improving to 4-0 on the season.
In the series finale, Jacob James recorded the win with 5.2 innings pitched. Lincoln Gagne recorded his first save of the season with the final 3.0 innings pitched.
The Lakehawks improve to a 22-14 overall record, 9-6 in conference play. The Panthers move to 22-12 record, 9-6 in conference play.
Lake-Sumter now ties for second in Sun-Lakes standing with Palm Beach State after the first round of conference games.
Lake-Sumter will host Eastern Florida State College on Tuesday, Mar. 24 at 2:00 p.m. Fans can access the HUDL livestream here.
