Lakehawk Beach Picks Up Win over SJRSC

LEESBURG, Fla. (Beach Volleyball) – Lake-Sumter State College (LSSC) beach volleyball hosted St. Johns River State College (SJRSC) on Wednesday for a single Sun-Lakes Conference duel. The Lakehawks continued their hot streak with a 4-1 win over the Vikings.

Pair 2 – Sophia Cooper/Jenna Walker (LS) def. E. Stoltzfus/M. Peters (SJRSC) 21-17, 23-21

Pair 3 – Brooke Walker/Mariana Comartin (LS) def. P. Aviles/A. Reyes (SJRSC) 23-21, 21-16

Pair 4 –Brooke Fintak/Sydney Pickle (LS) def. E. York/N. Collins (SJRSC) 21-11, 16-21, 15-10

Pair 5 – Rylinn Farkus/Moira Mangum (LS) def. J. Horn/M. Goodyear (SJRSC) 21-13, 16-21, 15-6

The Lakehawks improve to 4-1 on the season, 3-1 in conference play.

Lake-Sumter will be on the road on Friday for two more Sun-Lakes Conference matches against Florida State College at Jacksonville and State College of Florida. Matches are set for 10:00 a.m. and 12:00 p.m. and played at the University of North Florida beach courts.
