Lakehawk Baseball and Softball Kick Off 2026 at Home
LEESBURG, Fla. (Athletics) – The Lake-Sumter State College (LSSC) baseball and softball teams kick off the highly anticipated 2026 season on Friday, January 23. Softball will begin their double header at 12:00 p.m. at Hillsborough College followed by baseball at 1:00 p.m. against St. Petersburg.
Softball will welcome the City of Leesburg's newly appointed mayor, Ms. Allyson Berry. She will take the field at 11:45 a.m. to toss out the ceremonial first pitch.
Baseball will have Jack Smith, former AAA player with the Reds, to toss out the first pitch. He will take the field at 12:45 p.m.
All Lakehawk home games are free to attend and will be streamed free of charge for those who cannot make it in person. Games can be accessed here.
