Lakehawk Golf Takes Fourth at District Championship
BRISTOL, Tenn. (Men's Golf) – The Lake-Sumter State College (LSSC) men's golf team rounded out their inaugural season on Tuesday at the 2025 NJCAA DII Golf Southeast District Championship. The Lakehawks took fourth in the tournament with a season-high of three finishing within the top-20.
Kylan Johnson posted his lowest round of the tournament on day three with a 72 (+1) to lead the Lakehawks. Johnson finished in 13th individually with a +10 score after three rounds.
Kasen Schlichenmaier completed the tournament with a +11 three-round score to take 15th individually. Tripp Watkins took 17th overall with a score of +12.
Bradley Parker rounded out the Lakehawks' recorded score with +22 for 32nd overall. Nate Williams came in fifth for the Lakehawks with a +23 for 34th overall.
Lakehawk golf wrapped up the 2025 season in Bristol with excitement and experience to carry into the next year of competition.
At this time, all five golfers will return for their sophomore seasons on the course. Additionally, Coach Yaun plans to add one more to the squad.
