Leesburg, Fla. – The Lake-Sumter State College baseball team completed a late inning comeback against Florida State College – Jacksonville Monday for an 11-5 victory.

It's been a rough stretch of games the last couple of weeks for the Lakehawks. The team ended their seven game skid Saturday at Daytona State with a 6-2 victory. Robbie Scott led the way with a 4 for 5 performance including a double and home run with two RBIs. Gabriel Dorsey drove in three runs on a double to go along with a sacrifice fly. Matt Coles earned his fifth win of the season going six strong innings with five strikeouts.

Monday, the Lakehawks hosted the Blue Wave for a nine inning affair and fell behind early, trailing 4-0 through five innings. In the sixth inning, LSSC took advantage of three FSCJ errors to score eight runs on three hits and go up, 8-4. One run in the seventh and two more in the eighth gave the bullpen some extra insurance runs. Andrew Miele tossed innings 6-8 earning the win while Parker Grahe threw a scoreless ninth to send his team home with the 11-5 victory. Collin Teegarden had a monster game with two hits, a triple and a home run driving in five RBI's.
